Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Audion desktop player or browsing audionplayer.com, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service.

Open Source License

Audion's core software is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPLv3). Under this license:

• You are granted a free, non-exclusive license to run, inspect, share, and modify the source code.
• Any modifications you distribute must also be open source under the GPLv3.
• The full license terms are available at gnu.org.

Pro Tier and Account Sync (Donation-based Support)

To support active development, we offer optional account synchronization services ("Pro Perks") triggered by donations:

• Donation Perks: Account sync is offered as a gratitude perk for donations processed via Ko-fi. Access is granted for specific periods depending on the support tier (7 days, 31 days, or 366 days).
• Service Availability: While we aim to keep sync endpoints active, this server-side component is provided as-is without Uptime Service Level Agreements (SLAs) or operational guarantees.
• Refunds: Payments are processed externally by Ko-fi. Donations are non-refundable.

Third-Party Plugins

Audion permits the execution of sandboxed JS/WASM plugins. Plugins are developed independently by third-party creators:

• We do not check, scan, or verify the security of non-curated community plugins.
• You run plugins at your own risk.
• Malicious plugin redistribution through our official registries is strictly prohibited and will result in the author's registry banning.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS, COPYRIGHT HOLDERS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Audion developers, contributors, or web hosts be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from database sync failure, plugin execution errors, or data loss.

Governing Jurisdiction

These terms, the website, and optional cloud sync services are operated in accordance with the laws of the hosting environment's jurisdiction. Any legal action or dispute resolution shall be conducted under local jurisdiction guidelines.
